That the Mount Arthur Environment Management Group investigate taking legal action against Forestry Tasmania and the Forest Practices Board. Carried unanimously

2. Moved:
Mrs. Margy Dockray Seconded: Mr. Ulf Schriever
That the Mount Arthur Environment Management Group call upon the Government to initiate a Judicial Inquiry into Forestry Tasmania's and the Forest Practices Board's promotion and furthering of clearfelling native forest and replacement with mono-culture plantation practices. Carried unanimously

3. Moved:
Mr. Garth Faulkner Seconded: Mr. Alan Whittle
That the Mt. Arthur Environment Management Group call upon the Bacon Government to implement whatever legislative changes are necessary to ensure that the Forest Practices Board is fully independent of Forestry Tasmania. Carried unanimously.

4. Moved:
Dr. Andreas Ernst Seconded: Mr. Ulf Schriever
That the Mount Arthur Environment Management Group take whatever steps are necessary to ensure that logging activity be stopped on Mount Arthur coupe LI 126C and that the area thereafter be restored to forest of indigenous species. Carried unanimously.

Mr. Warren Hastings Seconded: Mr. Simon Wearne
That the Mount Arthur Environment Management Group call upon the Bacon Government to declare a moratorium for the purpose of ceasing all further clearing of native forest and replacement with plantations in upper water catchment areas in the Bass district. Carried unanimously.

6. Moved:
Mr. Kim Booth Seconded: Mr. Peter Eastman

That the Mount Arthur Environment Management Group call upon the Parliament of Tasmania to repeal the Forest Practices Act and that all forest practices be brought under the control of L.U.P.A. (Land Use Planning Approvals Act) and E.M.P.C.A. (Environmental Management Pollution Control Act). Carried unanimously.
