he has been a leader in the rebuilding of the Tasmanian racing industry.

He is active in many community organisations throughout the state,

either as chair or director:

including Tasmania Together, RSPCA, Variety Club,

the National Heritage Foundation, St Mary's Cathedral Restoration Committee

and the Hobart Aquatic Centre.

His business expertise is invaluable to the Tasplan Superannuation Fund,
